Overview |
It is situated in the forest across the street from Iko Iseki Park. The enshrined deities are Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Kushinadahime-no-Mikoto and Oonamuchi-no-MIkoto. The shrine also called Fuchi-no-Miya, which is the oldest Hikawa-jinja Shrine in Adachi, has been registered as Adachi registered monument since it was the head shrine of a former Fuchie village. In the Edo period, when village shrines were enshrined in each village, it became the village shrine of the three villages; Iko, Hokima, and Takenotsuka village. In 1872, it became the only Iko village shrine. Various events and rituals of the shrine have been held by the representatives who were selected respectively from the eight communities of a former Iko village. There are subordinate shrines in the precincts, such as Sengen-sha, Inari-sha and Mitsumine-sha. |
