[Tradition, culture, entertainment] Special exhibition "A treasure trove of beauty and intellect seen through images" Adachi
2020年7月23日-2020年9月6日
Adachi has developed as a region that supplies fresh agricultural products to the big city of Edo. I was busy. Against this background, people became familiar with haiku and calligraphy.
Especially in the latter half of the Edo era, when Edo culture flourished, Edo writers such as Sakai Hoichi, Tani Fumiaki, and Adachi authors such as Kenbe Tsucho and Funatsu Fuchibuchi began to interact. And a society was born that people in Edo and Adachi can enjoy together.
It was the townspeople of Senju and the large farmers – celebrities – who supported the authors' rich exchanges. From hanging scrolls that decorate the floor, furniture such as folding screens and offerings to temples and shrines, we will draw pictures and books in our daily lives. Finally, the authors also come from townspeople and large farmers. The life created by the interaction of various people continued. The hanging scrolls, folding screens, and haiku strips that you can see this time are a legacy that conveys the breath of people familiar with arts and culture from the late Edo period to the Taisho era.
You can see the people, things and places that created a tasteful society on video and appreciate the works, and experience the treasure trove of beauty and intelligence.
