Overview | Tobu Railway started to operate between Kita-Senju and Kuki in August 1899. In April 1902, the section between Kita-Senju and Azumabashi (current Tokyo Skytree) was begun its operation. Horikiri Station was opened at this time to facilitate cherry-blossom viewers who visited Horikiri Iris Garden. It is the nearest station of Arakawa riverbed that appeared in the popular TV drama; Mr. Kinpachi in Class 3B and has a nostalgic appearance.
