Senju-shuku 400th Anniversary Edition!!! "TRiP - Rakugo x Ukiyo-e" 6th Theme: Inn

The 6th "TRiP - Rakugo x Ukiyo-e" will be held!!! The theme of this year's event, commemorating 400 years since the founding of Senju-juku, is "Inn."
Senju-juku was a prosperous place, blessed with both water and land transport, and a bustling market, with two of the five main roads stretching from Edo's Nihonbashi, the Nikko Kaido and Oshu Kaido, passing through it. 2025 marks the 400th anniversary of the founding of Senju-juku in 1625 (Kan'ei 2). With gratitude to the town of Senju, which always watches over and supports TRiP, which was launched in Senju, we will liven up the 400th anniversary of the founding of Senju-juku with "rakugo, ukiyo-e, and music"!
What is "TRiP" - a Rakugo event where Rakugo and Ukiyo-e meet?
"TRiP" is a "rakugo gathering where rakugo and ukiyo-e meet" created by three people: Yanagiya Aoma, Watanabe Akira, and Honya Shan. By crossing genres and traversing rakugo and ukiyo-e, each of them wants to enjoy both even more! And to spread the appeal of rakugo and ukiyo-e! The team was formed with this desire.
Each time, a theme will be decided, and Yanagiya Aoma will respond with a rakugo story, while Watanabe Akira will respond with an ukiyo-e story, providing plenty of fun with rakugo and ukiyo-e.
This time, the theme is "inn" after Senju-juku. There are not many rakugo stories or ukiyo-e prints depicting Senju, but Aoma-san will try his hand at one of the few rakugo stories set in Senju, and Watanabe-san will talk about Senju-juku and Edo post towns through various ukiyo-e prints.
The venue is the 100-year-old Nakamachi House located in Senju, a post town since the Edo period. Let's TRiP together to another world in the Edo period at Nakamachi House!
